Towards BAPA+40: UNOSSC Shares Insights on South-South Cooperation for Building Digital Capacities for Industrialization in Africa

GENEVA – In the lead-up to the 2019 High-level United Nations Conference on South-South Cooperation (BAPA+40) participants at a panel discussion, co-organized by UNOSSC and UNCTAD, discussed how South-South cooperation can help African countries to build their digital capacities and what could be the ways to finance this cooperation.

The panel further discussed how digital cooperation at the regional level could be initiated within the existing regional integration and industrialization agendas in Africa. The session also highlighted the ways to finance South-South cooperation for building digital capacities in Africa.
