UN System Portal

Each member of the UN system is a substantive leader within its sphere of expertise. The Office ensures coherent UN system support to South-South and triangular cooperation by facilitating joint analytical planning and programming, contributing to the Secretary-General’s directive for all UN Agencies to ‘Deliver as One’ in South-South cooperation for development.

In response to Member States’ commitment to South-South cooperation, the United Nations system has intensified efforts to mainstream South-South efforts across each organization’s strategic plans and policy frameworks. We are creating strategic partnerships for such collaboration and highlighting South-South cooperation as a priority in long- and medium-term planning instruments. United Nations Agency- and organization-specific webpages on South-South cooperation, flagship initiatives, joint programmes and latest news can be accessed via this page.
